Description

The case study seminar "Case Studies in Accounting & Finance (in cooperation with KPMG)" provides insights into practical problems in accounting. The course offers an introduction to various topics in international accounting, such as the basics of purchase price allocation. The focus of this seminar is on the conversion of accounting from HGB to IFRS and the impact on relevant key performance indicators.

The participants put themselves in the position of a team of consultants supporting the accounting department of a large company and thus learn to solve practical problems independently and to implement their own results in writing in the form of a seminar paper. In the further course, the participants present their results in a final presentation.
