Description
The event is intended for students who will be writing their seminar paper or thesis in the foreseeable future.
Students are often required to present their academic work in a lecture. The quality of the presentation can have a considerable influence on the grade. It often becomes apparent here that students lack experience in writing papers and in creating and giving presentations. This is partly due to the fact that the necessary upstream skills, such as literature research, literature evaluation and the independent acquisition of knowledge, are already lacking.
The aim of the course is to impart the missing knowledge by demonstrating the appropriate procedure using business seminar and thesis topics.
Content
An exposé of approx. 5 pages is to be prepared within the framework of the course. Please allow approx. 10 hours of free time for this.
Feedback discussions on the respective papers will take place after the attendance meetings.
The exposé will be presented to the participants at a lecture. Feedback on the presentation will take place directly after the lecture.
Examination modalities according to the Examination Regulations
2 ECTS credits can be acquired.
Registration
Places are allocated in conjunction with the allocation of seminar places at the Professorship of International Accounting and Auditing. Bachelor students who are writing their seminar paper at other chairs or Master students who would like to participate in the event voluntarily will only be admitted if there is free capacity.
